Exploring desert sculptures in Qatar (by Richard Serra)

The other day we went exploring Qatari desert sculptures by Richard Serra and I have to admit I never saw something like this before.

The “East-West/West-East” monument looks like an ancient alient artifact and consist of 4 huge plates that span more than one kilometres in length through a natural corridor formed by gypsum plateaus in the desert. Really impressive both on photos and in reality! Getting there takes ~1h drive from Doha and out of all activities in Qatar that do no involved eating, discovering “East-West/West-East” was one of my favorites. We actually consider spending a night in the desert (watching sunset, having a picnic, then sleeping under the stars) and this could be an interesting location for romantic adventure.

The hairstyle I'm wearing here consists of 3 dutch braids crossed at the back of my head. In this hair tutorial I show you how I create a similar look with 2 braids, this time I only added one more braid on the other side of my head to create a complete crown effect. It was a really windy day so later on I've put my hair into a ponytail to keep it away from my face for good :)

There's also a beach for those who don't mind very shallow water :)

  1. OMG OMG.....Lilith u were in Qatar???? R u still here???? I want to meet you!!! Plzzzz answer!!!
